  • Cognitive Assessment: Measures intellectual strengths and weaknesses, with time varying based on the individual’s abilities.
  • Neuropsychological Assessment: Assesses skills like executive functioning, where appropriate, depending on age and presentation.
  • Questionnaires: Distributed to parents, teachers, or clients to gain insight into behaviours across different settings.
  • Academic Assessment: Conducted as needed to evaluate academic abilities, depending on the individual’s age and presentation.
  • Observation/Interview Assessment: A structured play or interview simulation used for assessing ASD or other developmental conditions. This formal assessment is utilised when assessing ASD specifically.

Assessments Outcomes

Assessment outcomes are evaluated using the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-5) criteria. Diagnoses for conditions such as ASD, ADHD, or learning disorders can be provided if criteria are met. Comorbid conditions—those that co-occur—are also identified when present. If a diagnosis is not appropriate, traits or tendencies toward specific conditions are noted, along with relevant guidance and strategies.
